After the solo and middle, the glorious chord on Mother! Truly magical. Sharpish? Flattish? Whatever the hell it is, it is indeed THE CAT'S ASS. * At the 3:00 mark in the original recording*

From Bonzoleum Studios East: Alan M and I ironing out his "Bonham Boogie-Woogie". Working to assemble and solidify the hand-to-hand criss-cross BE trademark in groovery as to conform the zeitgeist in the Zep tunes where Bonham employs it in to be most learned, fingertippy and mojorific. He used the COB in the studio -- on every Police recording. He used other drums on the road.
Copeland used "the snare" on every Police recording, and usually did not take it on tour, so of course most pictures of him playing show different snares. The more you know!
Great video! Love to see and hear the differences!
Best
Wow!! You are such an RrSs-hole dude!!!
5:42 with that crash choke/snare was unreal!
Love the madness!!!! You’re the best!!
i think your emigula came out of the closet terry
Your a good singer! Lots of power!
I never noticed that. Good ear. I think he plays an F note above the A minor chord in that bar, so we hear an Fmaj7/a in the first beat of the bar, instead of the A minor that we expected and which it resolves to in the next beat. I doubt it was an accident. More likely a melodic flourish he added by extending his pinky a bit, just to change things up and avoid verses sounding too repetitive, but not really intending to change the chord, if that makes sense. Pretty common on piano. In this case it creates the same "surprise" effect as a chord suspension. Very cool. (Edit: I looked it up and I believe the technical term for this is appoggiatura.)
If those are your facial expressions while playing drums, I'd hate to see what's going on when you are having sex. Do enjoy the videos though. I'm a big Paiste nerd.
I'm fairly certain that bit is actually Paul momentarily hitting the wrong piano key before correcting. I think it's an A Minor chord in the progression, and I think he accidentally played A Major by hitting the C# instead of C.
You are the coolest guy to teach us stuff! Thank you. This is really hard! This beat evades me! To play yet…. 😊
You are right Terry. Right at that point, Paul plays a bum chord on the piano. Phil Spector has the piano pretty low in his mix so you don't really hear it. It's louder on the single mix.
Hello, Terry! You look rested!
I know exactly what you mean Terry...I've always thought it was a glitch note on the Hammond?...but whatever, it's an integral part of a timeless classic...Great upload BTW, thanks!
Awesome!
Hello :)
Awesome lesson for Bonham style. great kick drum tips at the 2:30 min and 6 min timestamp in this vid. Thanks!!

What tune is the one that goes,I did it all for myself? Good stuff.
That's a brand-new one. I'M AWARE is the name. Thanks Paul!
@@bonzoleum nice and dark. You guys sound good doing stuff in that vane.
Excellent exercise!!🎉🎉
Thanks. RG!
Very informative, in a zany kind of way!
first time I've watched - quite entertaining. I've had drums at home a few times (I'm a trumpet player, but it is fun making drum noise). You play the way I think in my mind - but I can't play that good. Cool style and talent, and definitely funny to watch. Too many videos are put together with high dollar equipment and snobbish "too perfect" people. Sorry, that ain't me - and I get tired of watching all the 'perfect' people perform. Good job - I'll have to check out other videos. Have a blessed day. Tim from NW TN.
Thank you, Tim!!
Seeing him with no hearing protection hurts me
You’re drumming is spectacular. Dude that beat you fired up at 2:40 into the video! Is that from the hip or is that a Bonham beat from a zeppelin tune?
Thanks Josh- that's a hip. I have many beats I'd like to make tunes for.
Gary Mallader - HALL OF FAME DRUMMER FOR SURE!
What are using for the recording (i.e. what are you making the compression adjustments on? Is it a mixer?)?
Yes the knob that comes on the board.
After you said Warm up routine today, you made that sound like the disfigured man character on the movie Cannibal makes.
Great sound quality
Side note: La Grange is pronounced Lah Grainge. You must admit that it is tricky what ZZ Top drummer/percussionist Frank Beard plays for the drum line of the song track, isn't it, Terry?
👋 Terry. 🥁s & voice sound nice and clear . Stiill waiting for the 8 lug 402 😁
Yes the 8 lug 402! Someday..
Shorten the snare wire with tape, it deadens it some too. Anyone has a hurting wrist after doing rim shots?
I don't get it. Am I missing the finer points?
Glad to spend the time here with you again, Terry Keating! 🙂
I don't know what this video is even supposed to be,but damn it kinda makes me sad. The channel used to have a purpose.and it's no wonder your growth stopped cuz now you just play and sing and it's the same thing every single time. Your old videos where better when they where actually informative. It's definitely beyond that now and your not even trying anymore so I don't understand why you even bother recording these. I thought you where gunna do interviews n such but really you've just become even more spastic. still love ya and the channel, but holy hell there is zero focus left
What the ?! Ummm ,, not totally sure what I just watched but , I couldn’t stop watching . Just 2 points please before I move on : 1. I guess that there’s no script or plan ,, “ of the cuff “ as was said . Ok . Interesting. Performance art ? 2. Yes , drums are cool . Could be wrong but ,I reckon that most folks would vote guitar there . And with guitar, an actual song would be more recognizable to more people . Peace
You gotta get to know Terry.. He's a cool dude!
Also those people are wrong because drums are actually the coolest
Fun stuff
Yamaha snare?
I believe it is
"BONZO" Poor Tom.

Copeland two...cool
Your videos are the ideal cure for the Sunday Scaries, Terry Keating! 🙂Great job!
Thank you, Else!
@@bonzoleum You're very welcome, Terry. Wouldn't you have gladly let me play test your drums?
I've watched this video like 10 to 15 times and just realized I never gave it a like. Oh, the shame I feel!
You prefer sound edge or regular bottom for 15 Giant Beats Terry?
Hey my man, i got a question for the Paiste professor 😁...is there a difference in bell size n shape between a Giant Beat Multi and 2002 ride. I had a 22 2002 that sounded great but hittin bell just right was like target practice 🤯😵💫 seemed oddly shaped n smallish. Do gaints have bigger, more round bells or about same as 2002? Im talking new Giants also not the oldies.
lol, best ending
Headphones 🎧?! 😊😂 Sounds good 👍🏿 man!!!
Thanks Adrian!
